Painting is the basic subsistence of my life. Painting is my source of strength to conquer the most lamentable circumstances of life. Life is full of incidents and events. Incidents of struggle, suffering, grief, sorrow, dejection, regret, depression, misery and events of delight, pleasure, joyfulness, jubilation, triumph. Apart from incidents, there is observation. I observe everything: human to animals, nature to buildings, motion of river to stable towers.
Both incident and observation get processed and reprocessed in my artistic self. My painting is the expression of that process.
If life is a construction, my painting is a deconstruction. Thus while painting a simple visual imagery, my current surroundings; social structure; political environment; economy, also invariably gets injected in the painting. After going through the process and completion of a painting, I feel relieved. The objective is to communicate the same relief to the viewer, so that he can also get relived from the stress of daily life, for some time. For creativity, I rely on spontaneity, journey of art itself and research. Acrylic, ink, charcoal, paper, and canvas are my main medium. Tools are not restricted to brush and spatula. As my work is mainly visual image centric, therefore I take the artistic liberty for the usage of the tool and medium. Spontaneity still reigns as my primary apparatus.
