Anjum Siddiqui
Anjum, who is originally from the Indian subcontinent, is a young artist who has been painting for more than 10 years.
After finishing her school from The Lawrence School, Sanawar, she went on to study at the Delhi School of Art – a leading Art School in , and graduated in 1991 with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Applied Arts.
Although she has been working as a graphic designer and a visualiser for over 17 years, she has always had a passion and a keen eye for the fine arts and has continued to paint in various mediums. She has had the rare opportunity of working with and learning from one of ’s leading contemporary artists, M.F. Husain. Husain has been Anjum’s mentor over the years, teaching her the usage of colour, form, balance, along with other different painting techniques.
She works in acrylic, watercolour, conté and charcoal. She has several Group Shows to her credit and her works feature in private collections in and abroad.
